    Turnstyle Underground Market is a full city block featuring... 18 food vendors, 15 RETAIL STORES, 5 kiosks 38 unique eateries, shops & pop-ups. All connected to the 59th St-Columbus Circle station. No MetroCard required. They are underground. Located beneath 8th Avenue, between 57th and 58th Street. There are seven street-level entrances to the market.

    Art "in" the Subway Walls

    Artwork: Times Square Times: 35 Times (Toby Buonagurio) Location: 42nd Street-Times Square · Installed: 2005 Glazed ceramic panels in the transfer corridor between the 1/2/3 station and the Shuttle. The commission was received in 1992 and the first phase of the work finally installed 2004-2005. Ultimately the work will consist of 35 ceramic panels installed in over 800 feet of passages at Times Square. Toby Buonagurio is a lifetime resident of New York City and a professor at City College of New York best known for her colorful, offbeat, tongue-in-cheek, ceramic sculptur. Roy Lichtenstein, Times Square Mural, 2002 is seen towards the end of the video a 53-foot-long mash-up of Art Deco, comic-book and retro-futuristic imagery. The massive piece is mounted among the rafters in the main mezzanine, so follow the example of the clueless tourists on the street above and look up!
